Four booked for dowry harassment

A dowry harassment case has been registered by a woman against her husband, his parents and brother, police said here today.
The accused have been identified as Prem Harchandani, his parents Ashok and Preeti, and brother Deepak, all residents of Ghodbunder Road here, police said.
According to Senior Police Inspector V S Suryavanshi of the Kasarwadavali police station, Prem's the 31-year-old wife yesterday lodged a complaint against him and his family members that they subjected her to harassment for dowry.
She said that they took away her ornaments worth Rs 5 lakh and sold them.
The accused have been charged under sections 498A (husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty), 406 (breach of trust) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) the police said.
Nobody has been arrested in this connection so far, police said.
