Four boys drown in Pb

Four boys today drowned while taking bath in a canal near Bareke village in the district, police said.
Eight boys, in the age group of 10 to 18 years, had gone to National Martyrs Memorial at Hussainiwala this afternoon, police said.
While returning to their homes, they decided to take bath in Gang canal, they said.
Four boys Vishal, Prine, Love and Isthbir jumped into the water while four others Dev, Anish, Paras and Abhi opted to stay at the bank of the canal. Within no time, boys drowned in front of the eyes of their friends, police said.
They then rushed back to their houses and narrated the incident to their parents.

Deputy Commissioner DPS Kharbanda along with SSP Manminder Singh rushed to the spot and supervised the rescue operations.
The bodies of boys were fished out of the canal during the rescue operations, police said.
