Four criminals arrested

Sanjay Kumar Sahu alias Bhajani, who was wanted in a kidnap and attempt to murder case and was on the run for the last eight months has been arrested, the police said today.
In a separate incident, the police also arrested three other members of a gang involved in dacoity near Bidanasi.
City DCP Sanjib Arora told reporters that Bhajani, was the mastermind in kidnapping two contractors of the city in August last year and firing at them.
Police had earlier arrested nine persons in this connection but Bhajani, who was wanted in 12 other cases, was on the run and was arrested on Monday from his hideout.

The Markat Nagar (phase II) police arrested three dacoits, who along with four other accomplices, were planning a strike at a location in the city on the night of March 12.
During a raid, four were arrested, but the trio gave the police a slip. Based on interrogation inputs of the arrested four, the police apprehended the other three dacoits.
