The workshop is being organised in association with Chldren's Hospital Harvard and Joint School of Naoscience and Nanoengineering, Greensbore, USA under the auspices of the Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology (C-Met), its director Dr K R Dayas said in a statement here today.
The main objective of the workshop would be to focus on Nano-structured materials, with special emphasis on electronics and energy technologies beyond silicon, Dayas said
Dr Days though silicon is the cornerstone for most known technologies in electronics and energy, a host of new multifunctional materials hold promise for providing paradigm-changing solutions to problems related to energy and electronics.
This would be an appropriate platform to interact, exchange
and disseminate knowledge on nanoscience, Dayas added.
As part of the workshop, the foundation day of the centre would also be celebrated tomorrow, Dayas added.
