Addressing a press conference yesterday, East Godavari District Collector H Arun Kumar said that Andhra Pradesh State Tourism Corporation has sanctioned a sum of Rs 2.50 crore for the four-day festival, which is being conducted on a big scale for the past five years to attract tourists.
He said the festival will also serve as platform for spreading awareness on 'cashless transactions' as lakhs of people are expected to arrive at the destination.
The main object of the festival is to concentrate on development of tourism in the district, he said adding the festival will be spread across NTR beach, Corangi mangroves and Hope island.
Beach kabaddi, Beach volleyball, Beach wrestling, Beach yoga and dance programmes will be held in morning besides water jets, skying, para-cyclone and helicopter riding, Kumar added.

We are also making arrangements to organise hot ballon riding, he added.
Also, National Textile Exhibition will display products from Surat, Uttar Pradesh and Salem during the fest, he said.
Food exhibition and flower displays besides a host of competitions will also be held, the Collector added.
