Four-day monsoon session of HP Assembly to begin from Aug 22
Press Trust of India Shimla The four-day monsoon session of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly will be held from August 22 where the government is expected to bring a Bill for setting up a medical university in the state.
This would be the last session of the current Assembly as state elections are due in October or November this year.
The Congress and opposition BJP Legislature parties would hold their respective meetings here tomorrow to finalise their strategies for the monsoon session.
The session of the Assembly is likely to be a stormy one as the BJP plans to raise several issues to corner the Congress government.
According to a senior BJP leader, the Kotkhai rape and murder case, death of a forest guard under mysterious circumstances, deteriorating law and order situation and other issues would be raised by the party during the session.
