Four drown in the Arabian sea, on the Gujarat coastline

Four people drowned in the Arabian sea in Suvali Hajira area of the district, fire brigade officials said here today.
"Four people were drowned in the Arabian sea near the Suvali-Hajira area when they were suddenly trapped in the high tide," Surat's Chief Fire Officer P M Patel said.
Patel said that the had gone to watch the Arabian sea but they were trapped in the sea during the high tide.
Among them, one Amit Tiwari managed to rescue himself, while theothers were trapped, Patel said.
The four have been identified as Sandip Kumar, Sagar Kumar, Yogendra Kumar and Manish Sharma who worked at the Larsen and Toubro (L&T) company.
"We received a rescue call from the Suvali jetty in Hajira. So the rescue team rushed to the spot to locate the missing people," he said.

However, after the rescue operation ended today, none of them were found, Patel said.
"We had to stop the rescue operation today due to the dark and rough sea," Patel said.
The fire brigade team will continue to search for the missing people tomorrow, he said.
