Four held for assaulting woman student, friend

A woman student and her male friend were allegedly assaulted near the international airport here by a group of men, of whom four were arrested today, police said.
The incident took place last night when the woman along with her friend allegedly got into an argument with a man on a two-wheeler, they said.
According to police, the woman in her complaint alleged that the man tried to snatch the key of their two-wheeler and entered into a physical confrontation with her friend.
She also alleged that a group of men reached the spot in support of the man and started misbehaving with them. She said the men later assaulted her friend, and as she tried to save him they allegedly misbehaved and manhandled her, they said.

The group also allegedly threatened the woman and her friend before they fled from the place, police said.
Police said they have registered a case based on the complaint and arrested four persons today.
