Four held for betting during India-Australia WC match

Four persons, including sons of a retired police officer, were arrested for allegedly indulging in betting during the India-Australia World Cup semi-final match, police said today.
Based on a tip-off, police raided a den run at Dharma Complex in CIDCO locality here last night and arrested four bookies while taking the bets, Inspector (Crime branch), Avinash Aghav said.
Of the four, three were sons of a retired ACP and they were identified as Vishal Singh, Deepak Singh Gaur, his younger brothers Kapil and Sachin.
Police also seized mobile phones, laptops and computers used for booking, and cash worth Rs four lakh.
They were running the betting den under the name of Sai Associates that operated across Marathwada region, police added.
