Four suspected drug peddlers have been arrested with contraband in two separate areas of Jammu city Thursday, police said.
While patrolling near Pahari Mohalla in Jammu city, police apprehended three people roaming in the area in a suspicious manner, they said.
While searching them, around 650 gm cannabis, 56 gm heroin and Rs 40,000 cash were seized following which they were arrested, a police official said.
In another incident, an oil tanker was intercepted at Kunjwani area of the city and 5 kg poppy was seized following which the driver was arrested, police said.
Two separate cases have been registered in the incidents and investigation is underway, they said.
