The International Olympiad in Informatics is one of the five international science Olympiads organised across the globe and has UNESCO and International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) as its patrons.
According to the 2015 medal tally, Malvika Raj Joshi from Chashak Gurukul, Mumbai has bagged a silver medal while three others have clinched bronze in the contest which concluded last week.
The bronze winners include Arjun Pitchanathan from Chennai Public School, Chennai, Kushagra Juneja of Apeejay School, Pitampura and Tanay Kothari of Delhi Public School, R K Puram.
The young programming wizards from India competed with 322 school students from 84 countries.
Last year India had bagged a Gold and Bronze medal at the Olympiads held in Taiwan.
