Four persons, including three siblings aged between three and seven years, sustained injuries as a major fire broke in a building in south-west Delhi today due to a cylinder blast.
The incident took place the morning, following which several fire tenders and police teams were rushed to the spot.
Three children -- identified as Sonam (7), Sanjay (5) and Sanjeet (3), all siblings -- and 17-year-old Sabana were trapped on the second floor of the building in Nasirpur area, police said.
There was no way to escape and no other way to enter into the building. Police personnel rescued the trapped persons with difficulty, DCP (South West) R A Sanjeev said.
"They were pulled up from their floor with the help of a rope and later taken to a hospital," he said.
