Four kg gold seized, two detained

Over four kg of gold valued at Rs 1.5 crore was seized in separate incidents here today and two persons have been detained in this connection, airport authorities said.
A 28-year-old passenger, Syed Ali, a native of Andhra Pradesh, arrived here this morning from Dubai by an Emirates Airways flight. When customs authorities scrutinised his baggage, it was found that he had allegedly concealed 1.2 kg of gold in his suitcase.
Similarly, another passenger from Dubai, Mustafa, hailing from Kerala, was detained this afternoon after it was found that he had allegedly concealed three kg of gold inside a television set.

Both have been detained and are being questioned.
