Four killed in suicide attack in Pak-Afghan border

At least four persons were killed when a suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into an Afghan security checkpost opposite the Pakistani border-town of Chaman.
"The explosion took place at Wesh Mandi area on the Afghan side of the border, injuring over a dozen people," a Pakistani official said.
Security was beefed up and the Chaman border crossing was shut down for all kinds of traffic following the attack.
Balochistan Home Secretary Asad Gilani told Dawn.Com that security forces and law enforcement agencies in the province had been placed on high alert prior to the start of the holy month of Muharram and following the killing of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) chief Hakimullah Mehsud in a US drone strike last week.
