Four killed, two injured in Bihar land feuds

Four persons were killed and two others injured in two clashes over land dispute in Buxar and Nalanda districts of Bihar today, police said.
While two persons, including an ex-serviceman, were shot dead in a village in Buxar district, two others were killed and as many injured in Nalanda district.
Buxar Deputy Superintendent of Police Sunil Kumar said a land dispute was going on between the two deceased for a long time.
The two, along with their supporters, clashed today at Bauara village under Rajpur police station and Ram Badan Yadav of the same village and ex-serviceman Gopal Thakur of neighbouring Kurhaini village were killed.
"The two groups fired at each other in which Yadav was killed first and then Thakur," the DSP said adding people involved in the shootout were being identified.
Police personnel have been deputed at the village.

The Nalanda incident took place in Katardih village under Katrisarai police station as one Bhola Singh fired from his licenced rifle on his brother and other relatives because of a dispute between them over a four-kattha land, DSP N.K. Rajak said.
While Ramdev Singh and Pramod Singh succumbed to their injuries on way to hospital, Lalan Singh and Umesh Singh were undergoing treatment at Sadar hospital, he said.
The accused has been arrested and his licenced gun seized, Rajak said.
