Four-member committee to probe BSF plane crash

A four-member committee, headed by a senior Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau official, will probe the BSF plane crash here today in which all 10 persons onboard lost their lives.
The Committee of Inquiry (CoI) to carry out the investigation into the causes of the accident is being constituted, an official release said.
Deputy Director of Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) R S Passi will be the chairman of the committee while Capt Anant Sethi, Chief pilot of Madhya Pradesh Government as its Operational member.
Besides, Raje Bhatnagar, Assistant Director of Airworthiness at AAIB and K Ramachandran, Air Safety Officer (AAIB) will be the other members, the release said.
AAIB is body under the Civil Aviation Ministry which investigates serious incidents and accidents involving Indian aircraft.
The 20-year-old small plane of the BSF, ferrying the force's technical personnel to Ranchi from here, crashed near Dwarka and burst into flames just outside IGI airport shortly after take-off killing all 10 people onboard.
