Besides the Suvarna Chakoram for the Best Feature Film, the other awards to be announced at the closing ceremony of the festival are the Rajata Chakoram (Silver Crow Pheasant) for the Best Director and Best Debut Director separately, and the Audience Prize Rajata Chakoram.
The Audience Prize will be given to the director of the film voted by the festival delegates as the Best Entry in Competition section.
Fourteen films representing 11 countries, including four from India, are in the race for the top honours.
The Indian entries are Hindi film "The Violin Player" by Bauddhayan Mukherjee, Bengali film "No Woman's Land" (Rajkahini) by Srijit Mukherji, and Malayalam films "The Painted House" (Chaayam Poosiya Veedu) by Thiruvananthapuram based brothers Satish and Santosh Babusenanan, and "The Trap" (Ottaal) by National Award-winning director Jayaraj.
The international jury for the competition section include celebrated Indian director Jhanu Barua, Nadia Dresti, the Head of International of the Locarno Film Festival and member of Switzerland's Federal Commission for Cinema, and Maxine Williamson, the Film Director of the Brisbane Asia Pacific Film Festival.
