Four motorbikes, items of daily use seized after encounter

Four motorcycles and other items of daily use were seized by the security personnel following an encounter with the ultra outfit People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI) in Kandi Pahar under Goilkera police station in the adjoining West Singhbhum district today afternoon, a senior police officer said.
The encounter lasted for around half an hour, said Superintendent of Police, Michael Raj S.
The ultras made a hasty retreat in view of mounting pressure from the police, leaving behind four motorcycles and large quantity of items of daily use, he said.
Following the encounter, security personnel have also launched a search operation in the area, he added.
