Four of a family killed as car rams into road divider

Four members of a family, including a woman and a minor boy, were killed today when their car fell in a ditch after ramming into the divider at Deesa in North Gujarat's Palanpur district, police said.
"The victims were on their way to Shindhari village in Barmer district of Rajasthan. The mishap occurred today when the car's driver suddenly lost control and the vehicle fell into a ditch after colliding with a road divider near Jaishree cinema on national highway 14 in Deesa town," a police official said.
The deceased have been identified as - Dilip Mehta (40), his wife Mamta Mehta (37), their son Vrishabh Mehta (12) and Dilip's brother Vinod Mehta (30).
Dilip's 15-year-old daughter sustained grievous injuries in the mishap and has been taken to the Civil Hospital in Deesa, about 27 kms from Palanpur, police said.
A case has been registered in connection with the accident, they added.
