Four persons commit suicide in Kanpur

Four persons, including a woman, allegedly committed suicide in Kanpur in the last 24 hours, police said today.
In the first case, 27-year-old Arpit Mehrotra allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in Moolchand area, a police spokesperson said.
He took the extreme step as he was not satisfied with his job as a medical representative in a private company, he said, adding that a suicide note has been recovered.
In another case, 58-year-old Ajay Gupta allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in Moolchand area as he was mentally disturbed due to an illness for some time, police said.
He was undergoing treatment for the illness for past 18 years, he said.
30-year-old Rashim Sachan allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in her house in Barra area. The incident came to light when her husband Avdesh came to the house last evening and did not find her, police said.

Avdesh informed police that his wife was under stress since past few days over some financial woes.
In the fourth incident, 46-year-old Pramod Arora allegedly committed suicide in Govindnagar area.
The reason for why he took the extreme step is not yet clear and the matter is being further probed, the spokesperson said, adding all the bodies have been sent for post mortem.
