Four pilgrims drown

Four pilgrims, returning after offering worship at the Kurishumala church in Malayatoor in Ernakulam District, drowned in the Periyar river at Kaladi near here today.
The pilgrims drowned while bathing in the Periyar river, police said.
One of the pilgrims was from Tirupur Palayam in Tamil Nadu and the other three were from Munnar in Kerala, sources said.
