Violence erupted in Visham village when a team of revenue officials and police had gone to resolve the dispute on a complaint by Balak Ram, who had accused his village head of getting a road constructed through his farm land, police said.
Fearing that the decision might go in the favour of the village head, the complainant and his supporters allegedly attacked the officials, injuring station in-charge Indresh Bhadoria, two constables and police driver, they said.
The injured were admitted to a hospital from where Bhadoria was referred to Agra in serious condition, they said, adding security forces have been deployed in the area.
