Fourth charge sheet in Dhalasamant brothers cases filed
Press Trust of India Cuttack The police have filed charge sheet in yet another case involving the cases pertaining to mafia Dhalasamant brothers, taking the total number of charge sheets in this connection to four so far.
The city police have slapped as many 21 cases against the two brothers and several of their associates.
The Markat Nagar police on Saturday filed the charge sheet naming Sushant Dhalasamant and his brother Sushil with four others in connection with recovery of four sophisticated pistols. All the accused in this case are booked under section 25 of the Arms Act and sections 387, 341 and 34 of IPC.
The same police station had last month filed charge sheet in the case related to recovery of 12.5 litres of liquor from the house of Dhalasamant here during a raid on January 29. The police have booked only Sushil in this case under section 47 of Bihar and Orissa Excise Act.
In the case pertaining to recovery of a fake driving license from their rented house at Vishakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, the Markat Nagar police have booked only Sushant under section 420, 419, 467 and 471 of IPC. The charge sheet in this case was filed before the SDJM court here on April 28.
Likewise, the Chauliaganj police of the city have also filed charge sheet last month in connection with seizure of arms and ammunition from several gun runners. Along with the Dhalasamant brothers, four of their close associates, including Bharat Bhusan Swain have been framed charges under section 25 Arms Act.
