As part of his enquiry into the alleged nexus between police inspectors and fraudsters, Cuttack DCP Sanjeev Arora today recorded the statements of at least seven prospective entrepreneurs of the state.
A group of fraudsters, posing as marketing executives of several edible oil and beverage companies, duped around Rs 75 lakhs from at least 15 entrepreneurs of the state, promising to appoint them as carrying and forwarding (C&F) agents of the companies.
While two of these fraudsters are already behind the bars after they were arrested by the Bhubaneswar police, the rest three are still at large.
