Under the scheme soon to be launched by the state government, persons of or above 60 years of age will be able to avail the facility of this free pilgrimage, officials said.
Chief Minister Raman Singh yesterday gave his in-principal nod to the first stage of the scheme, under which the first lot of 20,000 people will be provided with the facility.
The Social Welfare Department has been made the nodal agency to draft final plan of the scheme, which would be finally approved by the Cabinet in a meeting slated on September 24, they said.
