To give a new lease of life to burn victims and survivors of accidents, a 10-day camp is in progress here in which German plastic surgeons are treating patients for free.
A large number of people, including several women who were burnt by their in-laws for dowry, are benefiting from the camp which started here yesterday and will go on till November 6.
"Our effort is to cure maximum number of people with burn scars or limb damages suffered in accidents," said Gabrithal, the head of an 11-member team of plastic surgeons from Germany's Interplast institution.
The camp is being organised by Rotary Club.
Rotarian Rajiv Bhalla said such camps are being held by the club in Haridwar for the past five years during which over 600 surgeries have been performed for free.
