Freedom fighter Rani Lila Ram Kumar Bhargava passes away

Veteran freedom fighter Rani Lila Ram Kumar Bhargava died following brief illenss at the PGI hospital here this morning.
Bhargava is survived by three sons and a daughter.
Sources said she would be cremated tomorrow morning.
Bhargava (92) had worked alongside senior Congress leaders including late prime minister Indira Gandhi and had been active in social welfare all through her life, Congress sources said.
Uttar Pradesh Governor B L Joshi and other leaders expressed grief over the death of Bhargava.
In his condolence message, Joshi prayed for peace for the departed soul and extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family.

UPCC president Nirmal Khatri said Bhargava dedicated her life for the service of the poor and downtrodden and had extended help to all the needy persons who had come in contact with her.
