Freight rate falls on excess trucks position

Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for select destinations eased by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market today largely on limited cargo movements against excess position of trucks.
Transporters said apart from tight cargo movements, easy availability of trucks, mainly held freight rates unchanged.
Delhi to Bengaluru, Coimbatore and Kochi freight rates went down by Rs 1000 each to Rs 60,000, Rs 68,000 and Rs 71,000.
Rates to Gwalior, Mumbai and Ahmedabad also dropped by Rs 1000 each to Rs 14,000, Rs 28,000 and Rs 22,000.
