Freight rates decline on tight movements of cargo

Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section declined by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport in the national capital today on less movements of cargo amid ample position of trucks.
Transporters said easy availability of trucks and restricted cargo movements mainly led to fall in some of centers freight rates.
Delhi to Chandigarh, Jaipur and Kanpur freight rates moved down by Rs 1000 each to Rs 19,000, Rs 17,000 and Rs 20,000.
Rates to Bengaluru, Chennai and Mysore freight rates also went down by Rs 1000 each to Rs 60,000, Rs 63,000 and Rs 65,000.
