Freight rates drop on excess position of trucks

Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for select destinations declined by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today following excess position of trucks against limited cargo movements.
Transporters said besides restricted cargo movements, comfortable position of trucks mainly led to fall in some of centres freight rates.
Delhi to Vijayawada, Bengaluru and Mysore freights dropped Rs 1,000 each to Rs 54,000, Rs 61,000 and Rs 63,000.
Puducherry and Kochi freight rates also fell by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 64,000 and Rs 69,000.
Note: Freight are based on Standard Calculations and there could be a slight variation in actual Freight.
