Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for select centres eased by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market today in the national capital following the excess availability of trucks as compared to restricted cargo movements.
Transporters said, restricted movement of cargo against comfortable availability of trucks, mainly led to fall in some of centres freight rates.
Delhi to Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata and Mumbai freight rates dropped by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 61,000, Rs 64,000, Rs 33,000 and Rs 30,000, respectively.
Rates to Baroda, Surat and Kanpur also moved down by Rs 1000 each to Rs 27,000, Rs 28,000 and Rs 22,000, respectively.
