Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section went up by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following tight availability of trucks and busy cargo movements.
Transporters said increased arrivals of cargo against tight availability of trucks, largely pushed up rates for some destinations.
Delhi to Bengaluru, Chennai and Puducherry freight rates moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 64,000, Rs 66,000 and Rs 68,000.
Rates to Chandigarh, Ludhiana and Kanpur also rose by Rs 500 each to Rs 20,000, Rs 21,000 and Rs 23,000.
