Transporters said tight availability of trucks in the markets against pick up in cargo movements, mainly pushed up freight rates for select destinations.
Delhi to Hyderabad, Vijaywada and Bengaluru freight rates moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 54,000, Rs 56,000 and Rs 61,000.
Rates to Jaipur, Pune, Coimbatore and Thiruvananthapuram also went up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 15,000, Rs 29,000, Rs 70,000 and Rs 79,000.
