Transporters said increased cargo movements against tight availability of trucks mainly led to the rise in select centres' freight rates.
Freight rates from Delhi to Chandigarh, Ludhiana and Jaipur were up by Rs 500 each to Rs 16,000, Rs 17,000 and Rs 15,000, respectively.
