Freights up on tight position of trucks, fresh cargo movements

Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section improved by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today on fresh movements of cargo amid insufficient position of trucks.
Transporters said tight position trucks in the market as compared to increased cargo movements, led to the rise in some of centres freight rates.
Delhi to Mumbai, Pune and Kolkata freight rates moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 29,000, Rs 30,000 and Rs 31,000.
Rates to Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Gwalior also went up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 56,000, Rs 58,000 and Rs 15,000.
