French authorities say a sister of a man who claimed responsibility on behalf of the Islamic State group for last year's Paris attacks has been arrested with her family on return from Syria.
The Paris prosecutor's office said today that Anne Clain, her husband Mohamed Amri and their four children were transferred from Turkey to France a day earlier.
Anne Clain is a sister of a French convert, Fabien Clain, who has moved to Syria and joined the ranks of the IS. He was the voice on a recorded, French-language, IS claim of responsibility for the Nov. 13 Paris attacks.
Anne Clain and her eldest, 16-year-old son have been put in custody while Amri, under an international arrest warrant, is being questioned by a counterterrorism judge, the office said.
