Friend rapes girl in Faridabad

An 18-year-old girl was raped here allegedly by her pen friend with whom she had be-friended through telephonic conversations in Ballabhgarh here, police said today.
The victim got in contact with the accused, identified Munna over phone on January 2 following which the latter approached the girl for friendship, police said.
In her complaint, victim said, On January 10, Munna called her to Ballabgarh from where he took the girl to a house saying it was his aunt's residence, they said.
Munna left the place asking her to wait for sometime and returned with one of his friend Himanshu then both of them raped her. The duo also threated her of dire consequences.

The girl remained under threat till she finally gathered courage to lodge a complaint yesterday, police said, adding a case under relevant sections of the IPC has been registered and further investigations are on.
