ftcash team-ups with ICICI Bank to launch UPI for merchants

Mobile payments and loans start-up ftcash has tied-up with ICICI Bank to launch the Unified Payment Interface (UPI) platform for merchants to make payments easier for them.
"ftcash, backed by IvyCap Ventures, is the first fintech startup to launch UPI for merchants in association with ICICI Bank. Now you can pay a vegetable vendor who sells on the sidewalk or your newspaper vendor using UPI," the company said in a release.
It is a virtual point of sale (POS) for micro-merchants to accept payments through credit cards, debit cards, wallets such as Freecharge, Mobikwik, PayPal.
"UPI is the latest addition to this open architecture platform," it added.

NTPC,NRDC partner for commercialisation of patents * NTPC has signed a pact with National Research Development Corporation for exploring commercialisation of patents, IPRs and technology know-how developed by NTPC-NETRA.

"NTPC has entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with NRDC for exploring the commercialization of patents, IPRs and technology know-how developed by NTPC-NETRA and their transfer to industry for commercial exploitation and for socio-economic benefits," the company said in a statement.

Agnificent's Khel Now platform connects sports fans and stakeholders like teams, coaches, academies and sport brands.

Ezytruk raises Rs 1 cr funding from Dubai-based investors * Bengaluru-based logistics and truck aggregator Ezytruk has raised USD 147,000 (Rs 1 crore) in funding from Dubai-based investors Ajith Nair and Anish K.
The investment will help Ezytruk establish its commercial operations, invest in marketing and IoT development as well as in its organic growth strategy, it said in a statement.

IAMAI-incubated startups raise Rs 9 cr seed funding * Six of the app startups incubated at IAMAI's Mobile10X Apps Hub in Bengaluru have raised Rs 9 crore in seed funding.
The companies that have raised funding over the last 10 months include Highway Delite, Zoyo, SpotPlay, Townista, MyOfficeCab and Adcamie.
