The city-based Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) today held a condolence meet in the memory of its illustrious alumna Rita Bhaduri who died today.
Students, staff and teachers stood in silence for a while in memory of Bhaduri, which was followed by screening of a 2017 student film SAFAR in which the late actress was paired with Tom Alter.
This film happened to be the last film for Bhaduri and Alter, the FTII said in a release.
Bhaduri was admitted in FTII in 1971 in acting specialisation course.
Some of her famous batch mates were Shabana Azmi, Preeti Ganguly, Zareena Wahab and Kanwaljit Singh.
