Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee President Sachin Pilot today hit out at the NDA government over the hike in fuel prices, terming the move as a "betrayal" with people.
"The prices of petrol were increased six times and that of diesel seven times during the rule of the present government which did not pass on the actual benefit when the crude oil fell," he said.
He alleged that the government has failed in making policies to provide relief to people on economic front.
"The rupee is also getting devaluated against dollar," Pilot said.
The petrol price was hiked by Rs 3.13 a litre and diesel by Rs 2.71 per litre yesterday, the second straight steep increase in rates this month.
