Funeral of slain AR jawan

Jerusalemthara, the Assam Rifles jawan killed in an encounter with the NSCN (K) militants last Sunday, was accorded a funeral with full army honours at his native Vanbawng village in Mizoram today.
Jerusalemthara was 29 and is survived by his wife and three young sons.
His body was brought to Aizawl yesterday from Nagaland and was received by the army and the Assam Rifles personnel at the lone Lengpui airport near Aizawl, officials said.
Jerusalemthara and seven other Assam Rifles personnel were killed and six others injured in an ambush by suspected NSCN (K) militants.
