Future Retail Q2 net profit at Rs 14 cr

Future Retail today reported a stand-alone net profit of Rs 13.66 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2015.

The company had posted a net loss of Rs 8.04 crore in the same quarter previous fiscal.

Net sales during the period under review stood at Rs 3,048.94 crore as against Rs 2,484.85 crore in the year-ago period, up 22.7%.

For the six months ended September 30, the company said its net profit was at Rs 19.77 crore as against Rs 58.44 crore in the year-ago period.

Net sales for the first half of the fiscal were at Rs 5,895.78 crore compared with Rs 4,802 crore in the same period last year, the company said.

The stock was trading at Rs 122.70 on BSE in the afternoon trade, up 1.49%.
