A group of students were today detained when they tried to stage a march from Central Secretariat Metro Station to Rashtrapati Bhavan demanding the President's intervention in ending the impasse over the four-year undergraduate programme (FYUP).
Around 25 to 30 protesters belonging to All India Students Association (AISA) were detained from outside the metro station around 11:30 AM, police said, adding they were taken to the Parliament Street police station.
Later some other students also reached Parliament Street police station and had a clash with police.
