Gadkari to inaugurate Indian Road Congress in Indore

Nearly 2,000 representatives from road construction companies will take part in a conference beginning here tomorrow that will deliberate on, among other issues, environment-friendly techniques to be adopted for building motorways in the country.
Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari will inaugurate the 76th session of Indian Road Congress.
Besides Gadkari, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will be present on the occasion, Public Works Department (PWD) Chief Engineer Akhilesh Agrawal told reporters today.
"The meet will especially deliberate on environment- friendly techniques to be adopted for development of roads in view of the increase in global warming," he said.
Nearly 2,000 representatives from road construction companies will take part in the congress that will last till December 22, Agrawal added.
