Executive producer Ryan Murphy revealed about Gaga's role during the Television Critics Association press tour, reported the Digital Spy.
"She is a very wealthy social doyenne, who is consumed with art and fashion and people. She has a nefarious plan that is revealed in the first episode, but plays out over the course of the season," he said.
She will be "a busy lady" as her character has five relationships over the course of the season, including with Matt Bomer, Finn Wittrock, Cheyenne Jackson and Angela Bassett.
Wittrock will be playing a male model called Tristan Duffy, Jackson will be taking on the role of fashion icon Will Drake, who is looking to re-establish himself in Los Angeles, and Denis O'Hare is playing 'Liz Taylor'.

Bassett will be playing Ramona Royale.
"I have a very strong, real, lasting relationship with (Gaga's) character, so I'm sure I'll be at odds with (Wittrock) down there. My character is this fabulous actress of the day. I don't live at the hotel, but I visit very often."
"American Horror Story: Hotel" will air on FX in the US in October.
