Gal Gadot to undergo intensive training for Wonder Woman role
Press Trust of India Los Angeles Israeli beauty Gal Gadot will undergo an intensive training programme to prepare for her role of Wonder Woman in the upcoming Superman-Batman movie.
The 28-year-old actress is all set to revive the super heroine character since Lynda Carter played the DC Comics hero in the 1970s.
"A very serious training regimen-- Kung Fu, kickboxing, swords, Jujutsu, Brazilian... 1,000-and-1 things. I'll gain body mass," Gadot told the Hebrew-language entertainment show Good Evening With Gai Pines.
Gadot, 28, who's best known for playing Gisele in the 'Fast & Furious' movies, said she was on her way from Israel to New York when she got the news that she had bagged Wonder Woman's part.
"I'm saying to her 'Are you serious?!' and we both scream!. Now, it's a plane from Israel to New York and I can't make loud noise, and so I lean on a window, bending down to my legs, and just try to understand. Long story short, I was totally alone in New York, I got to a hotel at 12 pm, I needed to wake up in the morning... I remember lying in the darkness by myself, staring at the ceiling, and I was telling myself, 'It's not real!' It shouldn't be like that, I'm supposed to be like, 'Where's the champagne?'," Gadot said.
Directed by Zack Snyder, the new film, a sequel to Henry Cavill starrer 'Man of Steel' will see Ben Affleck playing an older, world-weary Batman while Cavill will revive his Superman persona. The film is slated to hit the theatres on July 17, 2015.
