"I've not heard something like a flyover collapse in today's age. Something happening like this lately is very very unfortunate. I hope as a citizen of this country it's a morale responsibility to help the victims," Gambhir said on the eve of their IPL-9 campaign opener against Delhi Daredevils tomorrow.
A portion of an under-construction flyover near Girish Park had crashed down on pedestrians and vehicles below on March 31, killing more than 20 people.
"Personally, I will go out of my way to do it. KKR will go out of their way to do things. But obviously you can't get the loss back. We would love to do whatever we can do in our capacity," he said.
