Gamesa bags 200 MW wind mills order from Ostro Energy

Renewable energy firm Gamesa India has bagged an order from Ostro Energy for setting up wind mills in Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh with a total capacity of 200 MW.
"The company, has entered into a twin agreement with Ostro Energy for turnkey supply and erection and commissioning of 200 MW projects at its Amba site in Madhya Pradesh and Nimbagallu site in Andhra Pradesh," Gamesa India said in a press release.
According to statement, while the 100 MW project in Madhya Pradesh will be commissioned by February 2017, the other 100MW project in Andhra Pradesh will be rolled out by December 2016.
As a part of this agreement, Gamesa will provide complete turnkey solutions for the dual project which will comprise of supply and erection of 50 units each, of its cutting edge wind turbine, the G97 2.0 MW with an increased hub height of 104m.
Speaking about the order company its Chairman and Managing Director Ramesh Kymal said, "We are the front-runners in the wind energy space in India and this twin deal with Ostro solidifies the trust customers have in us."
CEO of Ostor Energy Ranjit Gupta said, "With signing of contracts for Amba and Nimbagallu, Ostro now has over 300 MW of wind projects under various stages of construction in addition to its operating capacity of 60 MW."
Ostro Energy has plans to build 800 MW of wind projects over the next 3 years.
