Gang attacks 2 women, relieves them of 22 sovereigns jewels

: A six member gang attacked two women in two separate incidents here and relieved them of 22 sovereigns of jewellery at chekanoorani area, police said.
They said the gang first attacked and injured a woman and her son at her house near a police station and robbed her of her 12 sovereign chain. Both mother and son fainted.
They later struck at the house of her neighbour and relieved her of her chain and Rs 8,000 in cash. The woman also suffered head injury in the attack.
All three have been hospitalised.
Locals expressed unhappiness over the incident and lodged a protest with the officials concerned.
