The accused, identified as Ajimuddin (24), Jatin Arora (21) and Dharmender (22), were arrested by Nand Nagri police on Saturday.
According to police, a tip-off was received that three members of a gang of carjackers bearing illegal arms will pass through 100-Feet Road from Tahirpur side.
"Our team barricaded the road and three suspects were stopped. During checking, the driver of the car got out and took out a knife and threatened the policemen. All three were thereafter frisked and a loaded country-made pistol of .315 bore and another loaded country-made pistol of .12 bore with one extra live cartridge were recovered from their possession," said a senior police official.
During interrogation, the accused disclosed that their area of operation was Delhi-NCR.

"The gang used to target lone drivers/owners of cars at lonely places. One of them used to pose as a cop wearing khaki jackets and military-style camouflage pants and would stop cars by flashing hand blinkers. The driver of the car would be asked to produce D/L and R/C before other gang members would appear and overpower the victim.
"They would drag him to the back seat at gunpoint. One of them would drive the car while other members would rob the victim. They would also threaten the victim into withdrawing cash from ATMs and after taking the same would drop him off at an isolated spot," he added.
